Reach Madanpur by train from Sealdah. Get riksa from the opposite side to take to Teghari (Manas-hospital). To reach by road you're to take NH34. Turn left from Birohee Mor to reach Madanpur Rly Stn(~6km). Turn right just before Rly Level-Crossing to reach Manas (~one & half km). |

Prevention, Treatment, Management and Rehabilitation of mentally disturbed persons. To arouse public awareness to dispel misconception about mental problems. Counseling the patients and their family members. To train psychiatric social volunteers. To work for the socialization of depressed and mentally ill persons. To help them become self-relaint. |

Till date, about 20,000 families
with mentally disturbed persons received services of the
volunteers, health and other professionals, members, friends and empathisers of Manas.
|
|
|
|
|
MANAS is yet to receive any fund / grant / aid from any government, non-government, foreign or local agency. It sustains on the support and help of volunteers, members and empathisers. For day to day expenses it depends on the collection of money from registration fees, sale of agricultural pruducts and also from donations. The money for the construction of the building was raised through special donation-drive. We got generous support of our friends and wellwishers from various walks of life. |
